Biography: Kim Ward has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 39th Senatorial District since 2009. In November 2022, she was elected as the President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate, becoming the first woman in Pennsylvania Legislature history to hold this position.
Ward's political career began in 1994 when she served as the County Chair for former Senator Rick Santorum's U.S. Senate campaign in Westmoreland County. She continued her involvement in politics by running the successful election of Scott Connor to County Commissioner in Westmoreland County in 1999 and serving as the Southwest Regional Director for Santorum's 2000 re-election bid. From 2000 until 2002, Ward owned and operated a consulting and government outreach firm called Commonwealth Political Associates. In 2001, she was elected as a Hempfield Township Supervisor. In 2002, Ward joined the administration of Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker. Following her time with Schweiker's administration, she returned to political consulting, running 84 Lumber founder Joe Hardy's successful election as Commissioner in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. In 2004, Ward served as the Southwest Political Director for the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush. She reprised this role for former Senator Rick Santorum's 2006 re-election campaign.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Ward has been a champion for Pennsylvanians and their communities. Having served as a Westmoreland County Commissioner and chairwoman of the Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors, she brings her local government experience and practical knowledge to the table when making legislative and budgetary decisions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ward worked diligently to protect the rights of people and their businesses from government overreach. She led efforts to advance a constitutional amendment that instituted the largest transfer of executive power since President Herbert Hoover. Biography: Joseph A. Pittman, born on March 31, 1977, in Hillsdale, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 41st Senatorial District since June 2019. In November 2022, he was elected as the Majority Leader of the Pennsylvania Senate.
A lifelong resident of Indiana County, Pittman graduated from Purchase Line High School in 1995. At the age of 18, he was appointed to the local school board, where he served until his graduation from Pennsylvania State University in December 1998 with a bachelor's degree in political science. After a brief period of employment in Bedford County, Pittman joined Donald C. White's successful campaign for state senator in 2000 and was named his chief of staff at age 23.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Pittman has been a champion for advancing legislative initiatives to create jobs, implement infrastructure improvements, support law enforcement, and limit government overreach. Biography: Ryan P. Aument has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 36th Senatorial District since 2015. In November 2020, he was elected as the Republican Caucus Whip of the Pennsylvania Senate.
A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, Aument graduated from Solanco High School in 1995. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in 1999. After graduation, Aument served as a captain in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom, briefly commanding an infantry company of 150 soldiers after the company commander was wounded in combat. Throughout his military service, he earned the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Army Parachutist Badge.
Following his military service, Aument worked as a production supervisor at ICI Paints in Reading, Pennsylvania. He began his political career by winning a seat on the Quarryville Borough Council. He later managed the state House campaign of a high school friend, Bryan Cutler, and served as a key aide after Cutler's election. Aument then won office as Lancaster County Clerk of Courts and went on to serve two terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives before being elected to the State Senate.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Aument has served as chair of the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Communications and Technology Committee. He also formed and chaired the first-ever Nuclear Energy Caucus in a state legislature in the nation. Aument's mission has been to ensure Pennsylvania is able to compete with higher-growth states for high-quality, family-sustaining jobs and increased economic opportunity for all residents. He has sponsored and helped pass proposals like his bill to establish a commission to redesign the state's education system to better prepare students for the jobs of today and tomorrow. Another one of Aument's initiatives focused on improving Pennsylvania's economic competitiveness was included in the 2022-23 state budget, which cut the Corporate Net Income Tax rate to attract more high-paying jobs and employers to the state.
Aument resides in West Hempfield Township with his wife, Kate, a teacher at Mt. Calvary Christian School, and their two children, Jack and June. Biography: Scott Martin has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 13th Senatorial District since January 3, 2017. A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, Martin graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School, where he was a PIAA and National Heavyweight wrestling champion. He earned a degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Millersville University, where he was a three-time First Team PSAC Defensive Tackle and two-time All-American. After college, Martin played professional football in the Arena Football League.
Before his legislative career, Martin served as a Lancaster County Commissioner, where he focused on reducing government size, cutting duplicative agencies, reducing debt by $40 million, and lowering costs for taxpayers through privatization and public employee benefit reform. He also worked in the Juvenile Justice system for 13 years, including serving as Director of the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center, overseeing a $5.5 million budget and 150 employees.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Martin has authored dozens of bills that have become law, including a Constitutional Amendment approved by voters in May 2021 that limited the power of a governor to issue open-ended emergency declarations. He has also served as Chair of the Senate Education Committee and Senate Local Government Committee. Outside of his regular Senate responsibilities, Martin serves as Chairman of the PA Athletic Oversight Committee and was elected to serve as Chair of the Chesapeake Bay Commission for 2023.

Biography: Dan Laughlin has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 49th Senatorial District since 2016. Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, he grew up in the Erie Heights housing project. His father was a decorated World War II combat veteran who worked as a union carpenter, and his mother assembled fighter planes at the Curtis Wright Plant in Buffalo. One of four children, Laughlin contributed to the family income during his formative years by mowing lawns, delivering the Erie Daily Times, working at a strawberry farm, and being employed as a vertical lathe worker and homebuilder.
Laughlin joined his brother’s construction firm and later became a full partner. Their company, Laughlin Builders, became one of the region’s premier builders of quality homes. Twenty years later, the brothers formed Waste Away, a trash disposal company, which they later sold to Pro Waste Corp. Their portfolio of companies expanded to include Clear Water Foam, an insulating firm, as well as Laughlin Properties, a rental company.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Laughlin serves as Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee and Vice Chairman of the Game and Fisheries Committee. In 2015, she was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 93rd District until 2019.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Phillips-Hill has been a strong advocate for government efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Her involvement in the community includes serving on the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Pittsburgh Film Office Board of Trustees, the Pittsburgh Ballet Board of Trustees, the University of Pittsburgh Institute of Politics Board of Fellows, and the Pennsylvania Prison Society Board.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Bartolotta has authored numerous laws, including measures to help judges keep dangerous domestic violence offenders behind bars, improve job training program availability, support fire and EMS companies impacted by COVID-19, and strengthen penalties for motorists who injure workers and emergency responders in construction zones. She co-chairs the Senate Gas and Oil Caucus, co-founded the bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform Caucus, and founded the Film Industry Caucus to support Pennsylvania's film industry's role in economic development and job creation.

Before her legislative career, Baker worked on the staff of her predecessor, State Senator Charles Lemmond, and on the staff of Governors Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker. She was first elected in 2006, defeating Democrat Robert G. McNamara to represent the 20th District. She won reelection in 2010 and 2014 unopposed and was reelected again in 2018, defeating Green Party challenger John Sweeney with 82% of the vote. Baker won re-election in 2022.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Baker has been a strong advocate for judicial reform, public safety, and veterans' affairs. During her first term in office, she introduced legislation in response to the "kids for cash" scandal, including proposals to aid the victims and strengthen the juvenile justice system against such corruption. She has also been involved in legislation related to property tax reform, natural gas drilling, and medical cannabis.

Biography: Jay Costa has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 43rd Senatorial District since 1996. Born on November 17, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he is the son of the late Allegheny County Treasurer Jay Costa Sr. Costa graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and earned an Associate of Science degree from the Community College of Allegheny County in 1977. He continued his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1979, and later earned a Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 1989.
Before his election to the Senate, Costa served as a Deputy Sheriff in Allegheny County and was elected as the Register of Wills of Allegheny County, serving from January 6, 1992, to May 13, 1996. In the Pennsylvania Senate, he has held various leadership positions, including Minority Caucus Chairman from 2005 to 2008 and Minority Appropriations Committee Chair from 2009 to 2010. In 2011, he was elected as the Minority Leader, a position he continues to hold.
Throughout his legislative career, Costa has been a strong advocate for education, healthcare, and economic development. He has sponsored and supported legislation aimed at improving public education funding, expanding access to healthcare services, and promoting job creation and economic growth in Pennsylvania.
Costa resides in Forest Hills with his wife, Roxanne. They have three children: two sons and one daughter. Biography: Christine M. "Tina" Tartaglione has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 2nd Senatorial District since 1995. Born on September 21, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of Eugene M. and Margaret Tartaglione, a longtime political figure in Philadelphia. Tartaglione graduated from St. Basil Academy in 1978 and earned a degree from Peirce College in 1980.
Before her legislative career, Tartaglione served as an assistant to Philadelphia City Council member Joan L. Krajewski from 1986 to 1989. She then worked as a senior executive assistant to State Treasurer Catherine Baker Knoll from 1989 until 1992, when she became a business representative for the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 1776.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Tartaglione has been a leading advocate for working families, fair wages, and people with disabilities. She authored Pennsylvania’s landmark 2006 minimum wage increase and was instrumental in establishing the state Office for People with Disabilities. Tartaglione has also sponsored legislation protecting healthcare employees from mandatory overtime and creating the Pennsylvania Center for Health Careers.
In 2010, Tartaglione became the first woman to serve in Senate Democratic Leadership when she was elected Caucus Secretary. She now serves as the first woman to hold the position of Senate Democratic Whip. Throughout her tenure, she has focused on issues important to senior citizens, women and children, working families, and the LGBTQIA+ community, including legislation to grow family-sustaining jobs, protect the LGBTQIA+ community, expand mental health and intellectual disability programs, advocate for law enforcement and emergency personnel, increase education funding, improve access to affordable healthcare and long-term care, and expand quality childcare.

In 2022, she received the Humanitarian Award from Self Help, a drug and alcohol treatment organization, for her service to the recovery community, Person of the Year by Hispanic Media Company LLC, and the Community Lifetime Service Award from the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs.
Tartaglione resides in Philadelphia and continues to serve her community through various boards and organizations, including the Board of Trustees of Temple University and Temple University Health System Episcopal Campus.

Biography: Vincent J. Hughes has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 7th Senatorial District since 1994. Born on October 26, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is the son of James and Ann (née Adams) Hughes. Hughes attended Temple University and worked as a library administrator at the University of Pennsylvania. He was also an official of District Council 47 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
Hughes began his political career in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 190th District from 1987 to 1994. During his tenure, he served as chairman of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, he was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate, succeeding Chaka Fattah. Throughout his Senate career, Hughes has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Minority Whip, Minority Caucus Secretary, and Minority Caucus Chair. In 2011, he was elected as the Democratic Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, a position he continues to hold.
As a key member of the Senate's Democratic leadership team, Hughes is a champion for major policy issues such as expanding healthcare for low-income workers, raising the minimum wage, defending the right to vote, fighting for increased funding for public education, and rebuilding the state's distressed communities. He has been a leading advocate for a constitutional and adequately funded K-12 education funding formula and has worked to negotiate significant increases in education funding to address the Commonwealth's unconstitutional education funding system. Hughes has also been a leader in the fight for free and affordable college.
Hughes resides in Philadelphia with his wife, actress and activist Sheryl Lee Ralph, whom he married in 2005. He is a trustee of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and continues to be actively involved in his community.

Biography: Nick Miller has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 14th Senatorial District since December 1, 2022. Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he is a fifth-generation resident of the city. Miller graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University in 2017 and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022.
Before his legislative career, Miller served on the Allentown School Board, where he was elected Vice President in 2021. During his tenure, he directed $34 million of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to upgrade some of the district’s oldest buildings, including installing air conditioning in 10 of the district’s schools by 2025. He also effectively navigated the school district through the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Miller climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise more than $20,000 for the Allentown School District Foundation to refurbish the weight rooms at Allen and Dieruff high schools.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Miller has been a strong advocate for education, economic development, and public safety. He has championed impactful initiatives, including historic investments in underfunded school districts through the Basic Education Funding Commission, co-sponsoring PA SITES to transform blighted commercial sites into vibrant manufacturing hubs, and expanding the Neighborhood Assistance Program to encourage business investment in communities. In November 2024, at the age of 29, Miller was elected chair of the Pennsylvania Senate Policy Committee, becoming the youngest member in history to hold a leadership position in the state Senate.

Biography: Maria Collett has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 12th Senatorial District since January 1, 2019. Born on July 21, 1974, in Athens, Greece, she is the first Greek American woman to serve in the Pennsylvania State Senate. Collett earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Maryland, a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drexel University.
Before her legislative career, Collett worked as a deputy attorney general in Camden County, New Jersey, representing children victimized by abuse and neglect. She then transitioned to nursing, working as a Level I trauma nurse, in pediatric home health, and in long-term care with aging adults. Most recently, she served as a nurse educator, assisting other nurses in administering Medicaid programs.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Collett has focused on issues such as PFAS contamination, nurse staffing ratios, the statute of limitations for sexual crimes, gender equity, and firearm regulation. She serves on several councils and task forces, including the Pennsylvania Advisory Council on Elder Justice in the Courts and the Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Council. In the 2021-2022 legislative session, Collett was elected by her colleagues to the position of Democratic Caucus Secretary.

Biography: Steve Santarsiero has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 10th Senatorial District since 2019. Born on February 13, 1965, in Montclair, New Jersey, he graduated from Verona High School in 1983. Santarsiero earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in 1987, a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992, and a Master of Education from Holy Family University.
Before his legislative career, Santarsiero worked as an attorney and later transitioned into education, teaching social studies at Bensalem High School. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 31st District from 2009 to 2016. In 2017, he was appointed by Attorney General Josh Shapiro as the first Chief Deputy Attorney General for Environmental Protection in Pennsylvania, overseeing the prosecution of environmental crimes and leading efforts against federal rollbacks of environmental protections.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Santarsiero has been a leader on education, infrastructure investment, environmental protection, women's health issues, and gun violence prevention. Biography: Judy Schwank has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 11th Senatorial District since 2011. Born in 1951, she earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education in Agricultural Education from Pennsylvania State University.
Before her legislative career, Schwank served as a Berks County Horticulture Agent for Penn State Cooperative Extension, where she established the Master Gardener Program. She became the first female Berks County Commissioner in 2000 and later served as the Dean of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences at Delaware Valley College. Schwank also held the position of President and CEO of 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, a nonprofit organization focused on land use, planning, and policy.
In the Pennsylvania Senate, Schwank has been a strong advocate for agriculture, education, and community development. She serves as the Minority Chair of the Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee and is a member of several other committees, including Aging & Youth, Appropriations, Game & Fisheries, and Health & Human Services. Biography: Joanna E. McClinton, born on August 19, 1982, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 191st Legislative District since 2015. She made history on February 28, 2023, by becoming the first woman and second African American to be elected Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Raised in Southwest Philadelphia, McClinton's passion for public service was ignited during an internship with WDAS radio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from La Salle University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. During her time at Villanova, she interned at both the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office and the Defender Association of Philadelphia.
After law school, McClinton dedicated seven years as an assistant public defender, eventually becoming assistant chief of the East Zone. In 2013, she was appointed Chief Counsel to State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams.
Throughout her legislative career, McClinton has been a staunch advocate for education reform, job creation, and criminal justice reform. She has introduced legislation aimed at establishing universal pre-kindergarten and reforming Pennsylvania's expungement system. In January 2022, she introduced the K. Leroy Irvis Voting Rights Act to enhance voting accessibility.
McClinton's leadership roles include serving as Democratic Caucus Chair in 2018, House Democratic Leader in 2020, and Majority Leader in 2022. Her tenure as Speaker has been marked by bipartisan efforts, including the passage of legislation providing free breast cancer screenings and advancing gun control measures.
Beyond her legislative duties, McClinton is actively involved in her community. She has served on La Salle University's Alumni Association board of directors, acted as president of the university's African American Alumni Association, and volunteered as a youth minister for a decade. Biography: Matthew D. Bradford, born on May 23, 1975, in Media, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 70th Legislative District since 2009. In February 2023, he was elected Majority Leader of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Raised in Chester County, Bradford is the youngest of three sons of Marguerite and David Bradford. His mother served in the United States Naval Reserve, and his parents later operated a small family business where he worked during his youth.
Bradford earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University. During his undergraduate years, he was active in charitable organizations and volunteered as a youth basketball coach. In law school, he interned with the United Steelworkers Union's General Counsel's Office, the United States Attorney's Office, and a federal district court judge.
Professionally, Bradford began as an associate in the litigation department of Drinker Biddle. He later served as the municipal administrator and chief executive officer of Norristown Borough, working alongside Governor Ed Rendell's special advisor to Norristown. Additionally, he has been Of Counsel at a municipal law firm and served as solicitor for several Montgomery County communities and a school board.
In the Pennsylvania House, Bradford has been a vocal advocate for public education funding, economic development, and healthcare accessibility. He previously chaired the House State Government Committee and served eight years on the House Appropriations Committee, including a tenure as its chair from 2018 to 2023.

Biography: Michael H. Schlossberg, born on May 15, 1983, in Livingston, New Jersey, has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 132nd Legislative District since 2013. He was elected Majority Caucus Chair for the 2023-2024 Legislative Session.
Schlossberg graduated from Livingston High School in 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from Muhlenberg College in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Lehigh University in 2006.
Before his tenure in the House, Schlossberg worked for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, assisting small businesses with technology and social media. He also served on the Allentown City Council, becoming its youngest member ever in 2009.
Throughout his legislative career, Schlossberg has been a strong advocate for mental health awareness and services. In 2014, he publicly shared his personal experiences with depression and anxiety, sparking a broader conversation about mental health and stigma. He co-founded the House Mental Health Caucus in 2015 and has been instrumental in advancing legislation to improve mental health care access. A lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, Harris graduated from John Bartram Motivation High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Political Affairs from Millersville University and a Master of Education from Cabrini College. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Neumann University.
Before his legislative career, Harris was deeply involved in youth development. He served as an educator in Philadelphia, worked within the Philadelphia Public School System, and was the Executive Director of Philadelphia's Youth Commission.
In the Pennsylvania House, Harris has emerged as a national leader in criminal justice reform. Alongside Republican co-sponsor Rep. Sheryl Delozier, he authored Pennsylvania's Clean Slate Law, which was signed into law in 2018. This legislation automatically seals certain criminal records, and since its enactment, over 40 million records have been sealed in Pennsylvania. Harris continues to advocate for reforms to Pennsylvania's probation system to reduce technical violations and promote rehabilitation.
Harris has received numerous accolades for his work, including being named one of "Philadelphia's 100 Most Influential People" by Philadelphia Magazine in 2017 and one of "Philadelphia’s 150 Most Influential Philadelphians" in 2023. He serves as President of the Board of Directors at Lincoln Day Educational Center and is a member of the Council of Trustees at Millersville University. Biography: Ryan A. Bizzarro, born on November 13, 1985, in Erie, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 3rd Legislative District since 2013. In 2021, he was elected as the Democratic Policy Committee Chair, a position he continues to hold.
A lifelong resident of Erie, Bizzarro is a survivor of childhood leukemia. He graduated from McDowell High School in 2004 and earned degrees in political science and criminal justice from Edinboro University in 2008. He also holds a master's degree in public administration from Gannon University.
Before his legislative career, Bizzarro worked as a victim/witness coordinator and advocate for the Erie County District Attorney's Office and the Crime Victim Center. He also served as a behavioral health specialist at McKinley Elementary School and worked in business development for the Erie County Convention Center Authority.
In the Pennsylvania House, Bizzarro has been a strong advocate for animal welfare, authoring Libre's Law, which strengthened penalties for animal abuse in Pennsylvania. He has also focused on issues such as healthcare access, veterans' services, and economic development.
In 2024, Bizzarro ran for Pennsylvania State Treasurer but lost in the Democratic primary to Erin McClelland. Despite the loss, he continues to serve his constituents in the 3rd District and remains active in legislative initiatives.

Biography: Robert F. "Rob" Matzie, born on September 22, 1968, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 16th Legislative District since 2009. A lifelong resident of Ambridge, he graduated from Ambridge Area High School in 1986. Matzie earned an associate degree in High Technology Communications from the Community College of Beaver County in 1989 and a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in 1992.
Before his legislative career, Matzie worked as an on-air personality and program director at WMBA Radio in Ambridge. He also served as a state Senate staff member for 14 years, was elected mayor of Ambridge, and represented Beaver County on the Democratic State Committee.
In the Pennsylvania House, Matzie has been a proponent of economic development, environmental protection, and healthcare access. He played a significant role in bringing the Shell ethane cracker plant to Southwest Pennsylvania, a project expected to create thousands of jobs in the region. Matzie has also been recognized as a House Environmental Champion by various environmental organizations for his balanced approach to energy projects and environmental safeguards.

Biography: Tina M. Davis, born on April 21, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been serving as the representative for the 141st Legislative District since 2011. Davis graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1978 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from La Salle University in 1983. Before her legislative career, she served on the Bristol Township Council, where she focused on economic development and programs assisting families, seniors, and veterans. During her tenure, she implemented a township-funded program to aid homeowners facing foreclosure, the only such program in Bucks County at the time.
In the Pennsylvania House, Davis has been a leading advocate on issues including economic development, job creation, pay equity, property tax reform, and programs supporting families, seniors, and veterans. Biography: Leanne Krueger has been serving as the representative for Pennsylvania's 161st Legislative District since 2015, making history as the first woman to represent the district. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and an MBA in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University.
Prior to her legislative career, Krueger was the first Executive Director of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, where she worked with local businesses to promote growth and environmentally conscious practices. She also served as Senior Director of Strategy and Development at the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, supporting over 50,000 locally owned, independent businesses nationwide.
In the Pennsylvania House, Krueger has been a progressive advocate for women, schoolchildren, the environment, and working families. She convenes the Blue Green Working Group and co-founded the Climate Caucus. Krueger was the first woman to chair the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee, where she spent four and a half years working to flip control of the chamber.
